During the 2019 World Yo-Yo contest, Colin Nguyen gave me a fantastic breakdown of of why he wanted people to have the Serenade yo-yo; a collaboration between him and Theses YoYo. I was very impressed by the conviction and passion behind his intent of simply wanting folks to have a fun yo-yo option (I was already sold at this point).

When I tried the Serenade, I was very taken aback. It’s very difficult to get stability and quality weight distribution accomplished on delrin. This throw however had a cake walk with these 2 factors. It’s fullsize dimensions and thick design style makes for a comfortable both in hand size and on-string experience. When on string, the speed is comfortable to manipulate while feeling energetic all the while. The word ‘fun’ is very appropriate in the case of the Serenade.
