One thing I’ve been geeking out on as of late is the nuance of trying to replicate the energy of certain sounds within a track through your ‘hit’ play. There’s a ton of variation to be messed with in your speed of ease in and release of string hit. Melody typically illustrates well when expressed through flow variation and movement in general, where as snare and kicks illustrate well through hits and direction changes. Or in short, snares and kicks be hittin diff’rent 😂👌🏿
